    For organisations it’s also very difficult to decide whether that should make mentoring mandatory or not.

    Employees, especially younger folks are averse to being imposed anything. So if you mandate it, there’s that natural resistance that builds on. On the other hand if you leave it too loose, you don’t get the immense benefits of mentoring. Summing up – it’s a tightrope walk for the organisation.

    But if you persistently keep publicising the successful cases in the right earnest a culture of mentoring will develop. But the key is perseverance. It doesn’t happen in a short time period.
