Purpose needs to be built, curated. it’s a Myth it’s already there within Organizations… what do you think?

Reinventing entry level jobs must constitute a large part of how organizations prepare to invite and engage Gen Z in the workforce

Also am a big advocate of recasting entry level jobs to make work more interesting for Gen Z joining the workforce

    • That does make a huge difference especially in times when one of the most important expectation from jobs is becoming finding it meaningful

@ramanpreet bridging the gap of understanding and expectations across generations alwats required Compassion to understand rather than misunderstand..1. Making an attempt to genuinely Connect, Listen is important 2. Revisiting old paradigms and having the courage to recast old practises and address legacy thinking on talent is a good start 3. All…[Read more]

    • Thankyou Dr Sujaya, this is very insightful. It is extremely important to understand the whys behind their behaviours to understand their choices and decisions better. Also, to help them understand the whys behind the decisions and processes that are already being practiced so that they get a sense of why certain things are supposed to be done in…[Read more]

Do you ageee a large part of the disconnect is coming from expecting Gen Z to behave like the past generations and being surprised at their self assured ness to make different choices, decisions, have new expressed and unexpressed expectation and have more clarity perhaps being children of the knowledge era…

    • I agree, I think It’s important for organizations to recognize and embrace these differences rather than resisting them. Gen Z’s unique qualities, such as their tech-savviness, desire for social and environmental impact, and preference for flexibility, can bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the workplace

    • Absolutely, you’ve highlighted a significant point. Expecting Generation Z to conform to the behaviors and expectations of past generations can lead to a disconnect in the workplace. Their upbringing in the knowledge era, with access to vast amounts of information, has indeed shaped their perspectives, choices, and expectations differently.…[Read more]

The research on Gen Z in India and across the world indicates a preference to benchmark horizontally with their own Generation rather than the past ones. There is a compulsive need it appears to create a new world order that can be daunting and challenging especially as you are discovering yourself and still understanding the world around you..…[Read more]

Is Hybrid working, working? I’m hearing mixed reports now, with isolation and lack of intrinsic learning starting to get talked about more often. The option of flexible working may be here to stay but how it manifests in reality may be something we need to keep assessing and working on together. I am interested in other views and experiences so…[Read more]

    • Yes and implementation will differ individual to individual and even at different times in an individuals life. Organisation, therefore will need to be much better at continual listening and adapting than perhaps some (not all) might have been in the past.

Human behaviour and alignment between brain, mind and body is critical to long-term wellness and performance, for the individual and business to thrive. It surprises me then that this is not a key feature of the modern business school curriculum. Leaders and managers should be as familiar with the research and impact of human energy on…[Read more]

I would be interested in how people think AI is going to change the nature of the roles we do as well as the roles themselves. It is a very exciting and also frightening time. The development of Chatgpt, Perplexity and copy.ai plus many others are shaping not just the way we work but also the actual work we do. I think relationship, emotional…[Read more]

Getting ready for an important meeting, presentation or talk is more than just knowing your content. We need to know the content however we also need to convey the content through how we use our body, tone of voice and emotion. So practice in front of a mirror or better still video yourself. Get comfortable with how you look and sound.

    – Talent definition is different for different organisations
    – lot of focus on knowledge and skills but not on Attitude. Needs to be corrected
    – there is a generational context
